Broward Service Area

Basketball Training in Hollywood

Hollywood sits between Fort Lauderdale and Miami, big enough to run three public high schools of its own. South Broward High, a marine science magnet on Federal Highway, enrolls 2,358 students. McArthur High on Hollywood Boulevard splits its roster with Pembroke Pines. Hollywood Hills High, on Stirling Road, runs closer to 1,700. Two of the middle schools have documented paths: Driftwood, opened in 1959 as a McArthur feeder, still sends its eighth graders there, and Attucks feeds Hollywood Hills. McNicol, a magnet and STEM school near downtown, is the third public middle school in the city. Jefferson Park and David Park both keep outdoor courts near downtown; T.Y. Park, the Broward County park on North Park Road, adds more space to work with.

The Courts

Where we train, and the Hollywood courts we recommend

Every session runs at the Salvation Army Fort Lauderdale Corps gym, 100 SW 9th Ave, Fort Lauderdale. The courts we recommend in Hollywood for work between sessions are Jefferson Park, David Park, and T.Y. Park. Jefferson Park is at 1501 Jefferson Street, Hollywood, FL 33020: two outdoor basketball courts. David Park is at 108 N 33rd Court, Hollywood, FL 33020: outdoor basketball court next to two racquetball courts. T.Y. Park is at 3300 N Park Road, Hollywood, FL 33021: Broward County park on 138 acres with basketball courts.

Hollywood families come from the neighborhoods near ArtsPark at Young Circle, Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, and Downtown Hollywood along Hollywood Boulevard, and a standing weekly slot is what keeps the drive predictable.

Why Here

Why Hollywood families choose Fast Basketball

Coach Blake came to South Florida straight off the college side of the recruiting table: two staffs, two championships, an NCAA Tournament run. Every Hollywood session gets the same read a college staff would give. Hollywood is core coverage, so weekly recurring slots are easiest to hold here and rarely get bumped. The method does not change by zip code: screen, isolate, load, read, log. A Hollywood player builds the exact same foundation as every player in the program.

Every session runs at the Salvation Army Fort Lauderdale Corps gym, 100 SW 9th Ave, Fort Lauderdale. Hollywood (33019, 33020, 33021, 33024) has no Fast Basketball location of its own, so players drive in for every session.

Between sessions, Hollywood players can get shots up on their own at Jefferson Park, David Park, and T.Y. Park. These are public courts we recommend for practice, not Fast Basketball locations.
